United Way of Iredell County announced the successful completion of its Million Dollar Challenge for the Endowment in November.

Now it has added to that.

As recognition of the accomplishment, the donors were recognized with a permanent sculpture installation ceremony Dec. 6. The sculpture is located in front of the Statesville Civic Center.

Davis Regional Medical Center was the sponsor of the sculpture, and CEO Josh Snow was on hand for the installation.

“Davis Regional Medical Center is proud to be a part of recognizing the philanthropic spirit of our community,” Snow said. “We have supported United Way for many years and are excited to see what this new fund will allow them to do for the people of Iredell County.”

The endowment will supplement the annual campaign by providing support for one-time transformative grants that help initiate new programs and services that address growing or unmet community needs for generations to come.

Gifts for the Million Dollar Challenge are still being accepted. To contribute, call Robb Collier at 704-872-3000.
